In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Suriya addressed , asserting, "As a producer, I made over 25 per cent profits on the budget when I aimed for only 10 per cent. So who knows what truly defines a film's success?"
Suriya, who founded 2D Entertainment with his wife Jyotika, firmly believes that success isn't solely defined by monetary gain. He further explained, "A water bottle can be priced at Rs 10 or Rs 500. What matters is who is benefiting, and who should be satisfied? Why feel worried if someone is selling it for Rs 1000?" he added, challenging the industry's obsession with numbers over substance.
