Himachal News: The date for linking Aadhaar to ration card, e-KYC and mobile number update has been extended till 31 December. To ensure transparency in ration distribution, consumers are registering their Aadhaar numbers on ration cards.
Opportunity to get e-KYC done by 31 December
Due to technical and other problems related to Aadhaar in the state in the past few days, the date for Aadhaar number registration and e-KYC has been extended by the department till 31 December.
If someone does not link their Aadhaar number to the ration card by 31 December, then their ration card will be temporarily closed and the ration card will be restarted only after providing Aadhaar.
Do e-KYC from home
People who have not yet got e-KYC done can do the process of e-KYC by visiting their nearest fair price shop or Lok Mitra Kendra or through e-KYC PDS HP (Android mobile application).
For this, consumers can update their mobile number after entering their 12-digit Aadhaar card number under the update mobile number option by visiting the consumer transparency portal https://epds.hp.gov.in.
At the same time, the Director of the Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Department, Ram Kumar Gautam said that the date for getting the e-KYC ration card has been extended till 31 December.
Those who have not yet got e-KYC done can do it through the nearest fair price shop and Lok Mitra Kendra or an Android mobile application. You can update your mobile number yourself from the ration card on the departmental website or transparency portal https://epds.hp.gov.in.
