Life Style: Also known as Kebab Koobideh, this is an easy yet mouth-watering appetizer recipe that you can make at home. Traditionally prepared using minced beef meat, you can find this kebab in the streets of Iran. This Middle-Eastern recipe is perfect for a weekend party with your friends. Here, I have used minced mutton to make these kebabs. Apart from the minced meat, the main ingredients of this kebab are chana dal, grated coconut and onions. I am sure you will love this party starter.

500 grams mutton

1 tablespoon grated coconut

25 grams ginger paste

1 cup chana dal

1 lemon

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

25 grams garlic paste

2 eggs

18 small onions

1 bunch coriander leaves

4 green chillies

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

4 ml vegetable oil

Step 1 Marinate the Mutton Meat

To make this delicious kebab, take a large bowl and add minced mutton, finely chopped onions (7), grated coconut, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, chana dal, 1/2 lemon Mix juice, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder and salt as per taste. Let the meat marinate for half an hour.

Step 2 Cook the marinated meat for 15 minutes

After half an hour, place a pan on medium heat and add some oil into it. Add the marinated meat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then, add eggs and cook for 2-3 minutes. When the mixture is cooked, turn off the flame and let the mixture cool.

Step 3 Grind the remaining onion

Meanwhile, take the remaining onions and grind them into a paste along with half a lemon and green chillies and salt as per taste.

Step 4 Fry the kebabs in the pan

Flatten the meat mixture and add onion paste. Squeeze out a little mixture and shape it into tikkis. When all the mixture is cooked, fry the tikkis in the pan for 2-5 minutes. Enjoy hot.
