Honda Company's popular and best selling scooter Honda Activa will also soon be seen running on the roads in its electric avatar. Currently, electric scooters of big companies like TVS, Ola, Hero and Ather are already available in the market. Of course, Honda has slightly delayed its entry in the electric segment but the company can launch its first best selling scooter Activa Electric in the market with great features.
During the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers event, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Limited CEO Tsutsumu Otani had confirmed in a conversation with NDTV Auto that the company has planned to launch the Activa electric scooter.
However, due to some reasons, the launch of this electric scooter has been delayed by one year. The company has not revealed the launch date of this upcoming scooter, but the CEO of the company has indicated that the wait of the customers is about to end, because the Activa electric scooter can be launched next year in March 2025.
According to reports, this electric scooter of Honda company is expected to be launched with battery swapping technology (Honda e:Swap). Not only this, this scooter can be brought with great features like advanced and latest features, good driving range, keyless etc. Some time ago, a report revealed that the company can start production of this scooter in the facility located in Karnataka by 2024. If this happens, then this scooter can also be launched for the customers by March next year.
After the official launch, this first electric scooter of Honda company can give a tough competition to the popular models of companies like Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta and TVS iQube.
