Auto companies offer bumper discount offers to woo customers, which is why people like to buy new vehicles every year during the festive season. This year, vehicle sales have created a new record in the festive season. According to the official figures revealed, till October 30 i.e. before Diwali, more than 86 thousand new vehicles have been registered in the Delhi Transport Department.
From the registration of 86 thousand new vehicles, the government has received a revenue of Rs 366 crore in the form of vehicle registration fees. During the festive season, on one hand, there has been a decline in the sales of scooters and bikes as compared to earlier, while on the other hand, there has been a surge in the sales of four-wheelers.
The data also revealed that till October 30, the number of light motor vehicles including cars and SUVs sold was more than 22 thousand. The remaining approximately 56 thousand vehicles are two-wheelers. Officials said that during the festive season in November last year, 80 thousand 854 new vehicles were registered, which included more than 57 thousand two wheelers and 18 thousand 635 vehicles.
Every month companies release sales data reports which show how many units have been sold by which company. TVS has sold 4,89,015 units in October 2024, whereas in October last year this figure was 4,34,714 units. The company's growth has increased by 13 percent year-on-year.
Hero MotoCorp has sold 6,79,091 units in October 2024, compared to 5,74,930 units sold in October last year. This means that the company's growth has increased by 18 percent year-on-year.
MG Sales in October 2024
MG Motor has sold 7045 units last month, year-on-year growth of the company has increased by 31 percent. Talking about Toyota's sales record, the company had sold 21,879 units last year but in October this year the company has sold 30,845 units. This means that the year-on-year growth of the company has been 41 percent.
