Even after his dismissal, he persisted and was out just 8 runs away from equalizing New Zealand's score. He scored 90 runs in 146 balls in adverse conditions on a difficult pitch. Shubman Gill held a press conference after the second day's play. During this, he told that in the Mumbai Test against New Zealand, he was batting with the same bat with which he played against England and had scored 2 centuries and 2 fifties.
