After her stepdaughter Esha Verma made alarming accusations against her, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly found herself embroiled in turmoil. Rupali was accused of severing her relationship with her father by Esha, the daughter of Rupali’s husband Ashwin K. Verma, from their first marriage. The Anupamaa star had been defended by Ashwin. Rupali has not yet responded to the allegations, however. Ashwin wrote about his “first love” on his Instagram Stories in the midst of these recent events.
There was no dedication to Rupali Ganguly or his former spouse in the article. The message was a tribute to his mother instead. A video featuring Keanu Reeves from Hollywood was included in the message. Mothers were praised in the video for being their children’s first friends, homes, and more.

Ashwin posted it, but he didn’t provide a caption. But it seemed to be a reference to his mother.
Hours after he defended Rupali from his daughter’s accusations, the post went viral. According to his daughter Esha, Rupali had a 12-year romance with her father “when he was in his second marriage.” She said that Rupali is “psychotic” and “controlling” toward him, accusing him of severing his relationship with the girls. Esha went on to say that Rupali started screaming and threatening to kill her and her mother when she attempted to phone her father.
In response to these allegations, Ashwin defended Rupali on X, formerly known as Twitter. “As divorce is a challenging process that can significantly impact and harm the children of that marriage, I understand that my younger daughter still harbors a great deal of hurt regarding the breakup of her parent’s relationship,” he stated.
However, there are a variety of reasons why marriages fail, and I had many issues with my second wife that ultimately caused us to split up. These issues were unique to us and had nothing to do with anybody else. He said, “It saddens me to see anyone being drawn into cycles of negativity by the media, and I only want the best for my wife and kids.”
Rupali, meanwhile, appeared in public for the first time since the startling accusations on Monday night. She went out with Ashwin and their kid to have supper.
