Two 14-year-old teenagers drowned while taking a selfie in Bhilwara. Both were national-level table tennis players and were preparing for a tournament to be held in January.
Bhilwara. The big news is coming from the Shahpura district located near the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. The last rites of two teenagers are being performed today. Both were fourteen years old and both died because of a photo. Both were close friends and national table tennis players. Both had a tournament in January next year and both were busy in preparations. But both died before taking a selfie for memory.
In fact, 14-year-old students of Model School and IPS School in Shahpura, Faheem Mohammad and Shlok Jagetia, slipped and drowned in the water while taking a selfie in a nearby stream after coming out of the school on Monday. The incident happened on Monday afternoon and the bodies of both were handed over to the family late last evening. Their last rites were performed today.
People present on the spot told the police that three youths jumped into the river to save Shlok and Faheem, but they too got stuck in the swamp. With great difficulty, the children were pulled out and taken to the hospital, where they were declared dead. Shlok Jagetia and his friend were selected for the national competition in table tennis. On getting information about the incident, the Collector and ASP reached the hospital and consoled the family members of the deceased children.
The bodies of both the children were handed over to their families after post-mortem. The body of student Shlok Jagetia was taken to Kadera in Ajmer and the body of student Rudra Pratap Singh was taken to Girdia for cremation. Both have one sister each. Both were the only sons in their families.
