According to authorities on Tuesday, one individual has been arrested in relation to damage at a Hanuman temple in Shamshabad, which is located in the Rangareddy district of Telangana.

“We have sent out our team since the Hanuman temple’s property at the Airport colony has been destroyed. B Rajesh, DCP, Shamshabad, told ANI, “The local police have arrived at the location.”

“The locals claim that an unidentified individual entered and caused damage to the property. We have him under arrest. Regarding the repair (of the damaged property), we are also speaking with the members of the temple committee,” the police officer said.

Locals protested and called for the offender to face harsh consequences.

Two distinct instances of Hindu idol vandalism have occurred in Hyderabad in recent months, prompting objections from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other religious groups.

The first incident, which was within the jurisdiction of the Begum Bazar police station in Hyderabad, included the vandalization of a Durga idol during a Puja pandal at Nampally Exhibition Grounds.

According to the police, the conduct was not intentional and the perpetrator was a vagrant.

The cops claim that he was famished and damaged the idol by inadvertently disturbing the Prasadam while looking for food. BJP leaders, however, have demanded a thorough probe.

The second event was the damage to the Muthyalamma temple in the Mandal division of Secunderabad, which led to significant protests. Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy was among the several BJP leaders who visited the temple complex and denounced the event.

Locals apprehended one person and turned him over to the police. Later on, he was recognized as Salman Salim Thakur. Subsequently, Hyderabad police discovered that Thakur had come to the city for a month-long training on personality development. BJP leaders have called for the matter to be investigated by the NIA.
