In the religious city of Haridwar of Uttarakhand, a herd of elephants is roaming around the city without fear. On Wednesday morning itself, a herd of 5 elephants had reached the subway near Gurukul Kangri University while strolling. Seeing this group, there was panic among the passersby. People started running from here to there. It was fortunate that these elephants did not cause any harm to anyone. Rather, after roaming around for a while, these elephants went back towards the forest.

According to the information, there is a dense forest adjacent to Haridwar city. In such a situation, wild animals come out of the forest and enter the populated areas every day. Especially on the Laksar route of Bhel or Kankhal, the sound of wild animals is seen almost every day. Just two days ago, a herd of five elephants had entered Raja Garden Colony. There was a stampede at that time also. Even at that time these elephants did not harm anyone and returned after some time.

Elephants returned to the forest after roaming around

In the same sequence, on Wednesday once again a herd of five elephants came out of the forest and reached the subway near Gurukul Kangri University. According to the passers-by, all the elephants were adults and went out strolling happily. During this period, these elephants did not cause any harm to any life or property. According to forest department officials, these elephants and other wild animals are coming into the population from the forest adjacent to the city. Considering the situation, their surveillance has been increased.

Why are wild animals coming into the population?

According to forest department officials, wild animals do not want to come out of the forest. Since there has been a lot of human intrusion into the forests these days. In such a situation, wild animals run here and there to protect themselves. Many times wild animals move towards populated areas in search of hunting or food. In such a situation, efforts are being made to make people aware. In this, they are being motivated to protect themselves as well as conserve wild animals.
