Thug Life: The release date of Thug Life was revealed by Kamal Haasan. The Tamil actor used X to share a new poster and teaser to announce the release date on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Thug Life will be released on June 5, 2025, according to Kamal. With a lengthy hairstyle and beard, Kamal appears in a never-before-seen persona on the poster. But he wasn’t the only one wearing the blood-red placard. Silambarasan TR, who plays a crucial part in the movie, accompanied him.
In addition to the poster, Kamal released a fresh teaser that included some brand-new movie footage. Kamal’s action-avatar appearance was reaffirmed in the trailer. The involvement of STR was also hinted at in the teaser. With the comment, “Every role is an evolution, every film a journey. #Thuglife,” Kamal posted the poster and teaser. Mani Ratnam is the film’s director.
In September, Kamal concluded the shooting of Thug Life. After 35 years apart, director Mani Ratnam and star Kamal Haasan are reunited in the film. In January of this year, Kamal started filming in a number of places. According to reports, Haasan will play many parts in the next historical gangster drama movie. Actors Silambarasan, Trisha, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Abhirami Gopikumar, and others are also part of the cast. AR Rahman is in charge of the music, while Ravi K Chandran is in charge of the photography.
In addition to acting in the movie, the Tamil actor is also co-producing it under his company, Raaj Kamal Films International. It has also been alleged that he co-wrote the script for Thug Life.
