CBSE has cancelled the recognition of 21 schools across the country which were running only on paper. Most of these schools are from Delhi while some schools are from Kota and other areas of Rajasthan.

The schools whose recognition has been canceled include Khemo Devi Public School, The Vivekanand School located in Narela, Delhi, Sant Dnyaneshwar Model School located in Alipur, PD Model Secondary School located in Sultanpuri Road, Siddharth Public School located in Khanjwal, North West Delhi, Rahul Public School located in Rajiv Nagar Extension, Bharti Vidya Niketan Public School located in Chandra Vihar, West Delhi, USM Public Secondary School located in Nangloi, SGN Public School and MD Memorial Public School. Similarly, RD International School is located in Baprola, Hiralal Public School located in Madanpur Dabas, North West Delhi, BR International School located in Mungeshpur, Hansraj Model School located in Rohini Sector 21, KRD International School located in Dhansa Road and MR Bharti Senior Secondary School located in Mundka are included.
CBSE: Recognition withdrawn from these schools of Rajasthan
Apart from 16 schools of Delhi, CBSE has also cancelled the recognition of 5 schools of Rajasthan. These include Vidya Bharti Public School located in Sikar, Shiv Jyoti Convent Senior Secondary School located in Kota, LBS Public School and Lord Buddha Public School. Similarly, Prince Higher Secondary School located in Sikar is also included.

Most of the schools whose recognition has been cancelled by CBSE were operating only on paper. This means that children were being admitted in these schools, but their classes were not held. Neither did the schools have library, science and computer lab etc. There are some schools which did not fulfill many of the standard conditions. Even after this, they were being operated as CBSE recognized schools. Now after investigation, the recognition of all these schools has been cancelled.
