A gathering of enthusiastic attendees took part in a special baithak, Shaam-e-Mulaqat with renowned writer and actor Piyush Mishra at a well-known city school. During this engaging conversation, Piyush delved into his life and struggles, revealing who he wrote his first poem for and reflecting on the true significance of awards in his artistic journey. He also expressed how today’s youth must learn from and take inspiration from freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh.Opening with stories from his early years, Piyush shared, “As a person with an artist’s temperament, I often faced misunderstandings with my family, who struggled to understand my passion for arts.”
During the course of the evening, the audience requested that Piyush sing and in response to their request he sang Aarambh Hai Prachand and Ek Bagal Mein Chand Hoga. Many joined in and sang aloud with him, while some took videos for their social media. Piyush was seen taking pictures with his fans and signing books towards the end of the event.
The event also featured a mesmerising performance by Jeev Sodhi , who finds his roots in the city with his mother Shruti being a Lucknowite. Jeev’s musical performance of playing several instruments took the audience on a musical journey seldom heard before.
