A concerning health update about Mike Tyson has been shared just days before the former champion boxer is set to meet in the ring.

'Iron Mike', now 58, is set to face off against the Youtuber turned fighter Paul who is less than half his age in Texas later this month.

The bout was originally scheduled for July but has already faced a significant delay after Tyson suffered from an ulcer flare-up.

Now, a new documentary on has revealed behind-the-scenes footage from that decision.

Countdown: Paul v Tyson is a three-part series leading up to the main event, which will also be streamed live on the platform in the early hours of November 16 in the UK.

In the first episode, both Tyson and Paul are seen during their intensive training camps.

However, by the end, it is revealed that they have no choice but to postpone the event after Tyson 'vomited blood' while on a local flight.

It also caused him to feel dizzy and paramedics attended upon the plane landing in Los Angeles.

This would mark the first fight for Tyson since an exhibition event in 2020. He has not fought professionally since 2005.

Now, middleweight champion Denzel Bentley has shared his concerns over the health of Tyson.

Speaking to talkSport, he said: "It's not the that we know. We saw him make a comeback against Roy Jones Jr and he couldn't hurt him, so what makes you think he will hurt Jake Paul?

"All he will do is damage his record and legacy as one of our heroes, I won't be watching it to be honest."

The Netflix documentary shows Tyson is pushing himself to his limits, often dripping with sweat.

Following his ulcer incident, he is then seen in the hospital receiving treatment, with one of his doctors advising him to take it easy in regard to exercise.

While the doc claims that he did ease up on the intensity, it then suggests that Tyson 'gets back to work' with Paul not slowing down.

The concerns over the former champion's health haven't dampened fan excitement with many sharing their predictions.

One said on social media: "Just throwing this out there: Mike Tyson is going to destroy Jake Paul in under 4 rounds."

Another posted: "I think Jake Paul is in for a surprise. As a boxer, I think you (Tyson) are more deadly now in the ring."

The Texas Department of License and Regulation have said that they will test the health of the two contenders before the fight.

However, they will not test Tyson until a couple of days before.

A spokesperson said: "TDLR is aware of media reports regarding an episode involving Mr. Tyson. At present, Mr. Tyson and Mr. Paul have met the medical requirements for this event.

“Before the event, TDLR will conduct pre-fight physicals to ensure the health of both fighters."

Tyson himself has tried to allay any concerns and believes he is in great condition.
