A 4-match T20 series is to be played between India and South Africa. It is going to start from today, Friday 8 November. The first match will be played at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban. But before this match, the Indian team has suffered a big loss. Actually, news has come out that the team captain Suryakumar Yadav is seriously injured. According to reports, he got injured on his hand during the practice session, due to which he may be out of the first match. If this happens, which player will replace him? Let us know.

These players can replace

Surya was injured at the end of the practice session and only a few hours were left for the first match to start. In such a situation, there is little hope of recovery from the injury. If Surya is not able to recover in time, there will be a competition between two players of Team India to take his place. The first player is Ramandeep Singh and the second is wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma.

Sanju Samson is already available as a wicketkeeper. Therefore, there is less chance of him playing. All-rounder Ramandeep Singh has impressed a lot in the first IPL and recently in the Emerging Asia Cup. Apart from this, he will also provide bowling options. In such a situation, he may get a chance to debut in Durban. However, his batting position is expected to remain in the lower order, as he bats only as a finisher.

Pandya can captain

Despite the absence of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team does not need to worry about captaincy. Because Hardik Pandya, one of the most senior and experienced players of the team, will be present for this match. He also has experience of captaincy in IPL and international matches. Therefore, he can be seen captaining in the first T20 match against South Africa.

What will the playing XI be like?

Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson can be seen as the opening pair in the first match against South Africa. Both the batsmen have impressed a lot as openers in T20 in the recent past. In the absence of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma can bat at number 3 and Hardik Pandya at number 4. The responsibility of the middle order can be given to Rinku Singh and Axar Patel, while Ramandeep Singh can be seen in the role of finisher. At the same time, the command of bowling can be seen in the hands of Varun Chakraborty, Yash Dayal, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan.

Probable Playing XI:

Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya (captain), Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Ramandeep Singh, Varun Chakraborty, Yash Dayal, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan.
