Two people have died in a horrific house fire in Coventry in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters rushed to the scene on The Coppice, Stoke Aldermoor, at about 4.50am.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after the deaths of two people whose bodies were found following a house fire in Coventry today (November 8).
"Sadly, two people were confirmed dead at the scene, and we are now working to identify them.
"Our officers are liaising closely with West Midlands Fire Service, who are working to identify the cause of the fire."

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: "Shortly before 4.40am on Friday (8 November), we responded to The Coppice in the Stoke Aldermoor area of Coventry."
Four fire engines from Coventry, Binley, Foleshill and Canley responded, the first arriving within four minutes.
The spokesman added: "This was a severe house fire in a first-floor maisonette flat, affecting the entire property.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property but very sadly, the bodies of two people were found inside.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire, which was confirmed to be fully out at around 5.55am.
"We currently have three Fire Investigation Officers at the scene, including a fire investigation dog. Investigations with West Midlands Police continue."
