In the information given by the company, it was told that it has taken over 100 percent stake in a special unit (SPV) Paradeep Transmission Limited for Rs 18.64 crore. In a regulatory filing by the company, it was said that the takeover process was completed on November 6, 2024. After this takeover, the valuation of the company will improve. The company has been acquired after Noel Tata became the chairman of the group.

Tata Power said in a regulatory filing that the company has signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) and acquired 100 per cent equity stake in Paradeep Transmission Limited. Paradeep Transmission was set up as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) on a build-own-operate-transfer basis. It provides transmission services with a turnover of Rs 256.183 crore.
