Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in the industry known for leaving no stone unturned in entertaining his fans. The actor began his journey in 1988 and by 2024 he has delivered several superhit films. While many of Salman’s films have been massive hits there are a few that did not perform well at the box office. We are talking about the film Marigold. Released in 2007 Marigold turned out to be a huge flop. Directed by Willard Carroll it was a romantic musical comedy. The films story revolves around an American actress whose life takes a U-turn when she comes to India. In the film Salman Khan played the role of Prem opposite Hollywood actress Ali Larter. Salman Khan’s Marigold struggled at the box office for various reasons. Made on a budget of Rs 19 crores the film failed to recover its costs earning only Rs 2.29 crores. The box office disaster of Marigold had such a profound impact that director Willard Carroll never directed another film afterwards. This movie stands out as one that neither Salman Khan nor his fans are eager to revisit in his career. Despite its unique concept the film failed to impress audiences and became a major flop. On the work front Salman Khan is set to appear next in Sikander. The film will also star Rashmika Mandanna and is scheduled to hit theatres on Eid 2025.
