Military police deployed after Israelis target of 'hit and run'

Carnage erupted in on Thursday night, when Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were set upon by pro-Palestine youths amid reports of terrifying "hit and run" attacks using mopeds.

Military police have been deployed in the city, and a face mask ban is currently in force. A total of 62 people have been arrested, it was confirmed in the early afternoon of November 8.

It was initially announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Netherlands after what was referred to as "a very violent incident" targeting multiple Israeli citizens. However, the Prime Minister's office later said Israeli citizens would be brought back home via civilian flights.

The Israeli Shin Bet, or security agency, has confirmed it is increasing security at all embassies in the Netherlands and Israeli flights from the country.

The UK's Board of Deputies has condemned the incidents and called on the UK Government to ensure similar attacks do not occur in this country.
