Bengaluru Woman Found Dead inside Home; No Apparent Injuries Except...

Bengaluru: A woman was found unconscious inside her house at Hongasandra in Bengaluru on Saturday, said the police. The incident came into light when her friend reached her home after the deceased woman stopped responding to calls from anyone. The police suspect the role of the elder son who had a constraint relationship with his younger brother. The deceased woman used to live in the house with the younger son. The deceased has been identified as Jayamma, a housewife. She had been living separately from her husband for 20 years. After reaching there, her friend knocked at the door multiple times. Despite that, the woman did not open the door. Alarmed by this, her friend called the house owner, and requested the latter to open the house with a spare key. Upon entering the home, they found the woman dead. The police said that the deceased woman did not have any apparent injury marks, except the one on the temple area of the head. The police are suspecting if the victim was smothered to death. However, the police are waiting for a post-mortem report to establish the exact cause of death.

What Happened?The police said the woman used to live with her younger son who was in Anekal at the time of the incident. He was on his duty, and received information about his mother’s situation from the police, said the officer. Meanwhile, the elder son lives separately who does not get along with the younger one. The police said the elder son is suspected to be involved in the murder."We have registered a case at Bommanahalli police station and are awaiting post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of death," the officer said. A detailed investigation is underway to nab the culprit and ascertain the motive behind the murder, police added.(With Inputs from PTI)
