Indian Cricket Team head coach, Gautam Gambhir, has addressed the media during the Pre-Departure Press Conference on Monday, November 11, and during the press conference, the World Cup winner has fired shots at Australia legend Ricky Ponting.
The 2011 World Cup winner asked the legendary former batsman to 'mind his own country's cricket and shall not be bothered about Indian Cricket'.
Gautam Gambhir's stern reply has come in the aftermath of Ricky Ponting's latest comments on Virat Kohli, as India and Australia gear up for the all-elusive Border-Gavaskar Trophy series starting November 22, with the first Test scheduled to be played at Perth Stadium, followed by a Day-Night Pink Ball Test match at Adelaide Oval.
"What has Ponting got to do with Indian cricket? He should think about Australian cricket," said Gautam Gambhir.
Virat Kohli has been heavily struggling for form across all formats and was completely out-of-sorts during his last 6 innings in the three-match Test series against New Zealand.
Apart from his 70, his rest of the innings saw him either getting beaten on all ends up, or make highly ordinary decision-making between the wickets, as the legendary batter found himself run-out at crucial situations, under unnecessary running conditions.
