It often happens that we download a lot of apps on our phones. But, we do not use them in the real sense. Such apps not only use the storage while lying on the phone. But they also use the phone data and also make the device slow. In such a situation, it is better to delete them. But, it is not easy to find them. In such a situation, here we are going to tell you how to identify them in both Android and iOS.

You can identify apps that have not been used for a long time on both Android and iOS devices through these methods:

For Android

Check app usage by going to Settings.

Go to Settings > Digital Wellbeing and Parental Control > Dashboard (or on some devices, Settings > Battery > Battery Usage).

This section shows app usage data, which also shows when each app was last used.

To see less used apps at the bottom, sort by 'Most used', or if there is an option, sort by Last used.

Use the Google Play Store

Open the Google Play Store app, then tap your profile icon > Manage apps & devices > Manage.

Then tap Installed and sort apps by Last used to see apps you haven't used in a while.

Use a third-party app.

Some apps, such as Files by Google or third-party app managers, can help identify apps you're not using and suggest deleting them to free up space.

For iOS

Check app usage in Settings.

Go to Settings > Battery.

Then scroll down to see how much battery each app has used in the last 24 hours or the last 10 days. Apps at the bottom that have little or no battery usage may not have been used recently.

Offload unused apps

iOS has a feature to automatically offload unused apps while keeping the data intact.

For this, go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

This shows all the apps along with their last used date. In such a situation, from here you can manually delete or offload those apps which have not been used for some time.

Using these options, you can easily identify and manage those apps that are taking up storage but have not been used for some time.
