Mumbai: Shiv Kumar Gautam, a key shooter arrested in connection with the murder of veteran Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique, has disclosed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had ordered the assassination of either Baba Siddique or his son, Zeeshan Siddique. Gautam, who was apprehended by the Mumbai Police, confessed that he was tasked with killing whichever target he encountered first.
The plot, orchestrated by the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, involved extensive surveillance of the Siddique family’s movements. Gautam, along with two other accomplices, meticulously tracked their activities before executing the plan. On October 12, Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead, taking advantage of the festive distractions in Mumbai.
Following the murder, Gautam changed his appearance and mingled with the public to avoid suspicion. He then embarked on a complex escape route, traveling through various cities and disposing of his mobile phone to evade capture. Despite his efforts, the police managed to trace and arrest him along with four other individuals who assisted in his escape.
