Anupam Kher made his acting debut with Saaransh in 1994. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt it was his breakthrough role. Since then in the last 40 years Kher has worked in about 540 films across all languages. Moreover veteran the actor has won two National film awards and eight Filmfare awards. The Government of India also honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution to the field of Indian cinema and arts. The actor added that he would rather spend that money on charity and do something more productive than buying a property for himself. Moreover despite not living in a luxurious house himself he bought a lavish 8-room house for his mother. I was teasing her seven years ago saying that I am a big star and she can tell me what she wishes to have. I thought she would say Nahi kuch nahi but she instantly said I want a house in Shimla. I asked her why because we didnt live there after my fathers death but she lived in a rented house all her life there hence wanted one of her own he explained. Anupam Kher is married to veteran actor and politician Kirron Kher who owns a house in Chandigarh Punjab. Meanwhile on the professional front the veteran actors Vijay 69 has received mixed response from the audience and crticis. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
