Akshara Singh Death Threat: After superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh has received death threats. The actress has received a call from an unknown number and the caller allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. After the call, the actress lodged a written complaint at the Danapur police station.
The police have registered a case after the actress's complaint and started investigating the matter. In her complaint, the Bhojpuri actress said that on the night of November 11 at around 12:20 am, she received calls from two different numbers. As soon as she received the call, the caller abused and threatened her. The caller allegedly demanded Rs 50 lakh from her and threatened to kill her if she did not pay the money within two days.
Police station in-charge Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj said the case is being investigated and the caller will be identified soon. Akshara Singh is one of the highest-paid actresses of Bhojpuri cinema. She started her career with Ravi Kishan starrer 'Satyamev Jayate'.
She has also appeared in many popular films including 'Satya', 'Tabadla' and 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' and has sung many superhit songs.
She has appeared in 'Bigg Boss OTT' and TV shows like 'Kala Tikka' and 'Service Wali Bahu'. Akshara has also appeared in period drama serials like Surya Putra Karna and Porus.
On Tuesday, a lawyer named Faizan Khan was arrested in Chhattisgarh for allegedly issuing a death threat to actor Shah Rukh Khan. The threat was received last week, following which Shah Rukh Khan's team had registered a complaint with the Bandra Police. The lawyer earlier told the police that he had lost his phone. The threat call was made on a landline number and was received by a Mumbai policeman on November 5.
