LPG Gas Cylinder: The price of LPG gas cylinder changes every month. The price of LPG cylinder keeps changing. The price of LPG cylinder sometimes goes down and sometimes goes up. Currently, the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder is Rs 823, while the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder is Rs 1,867. The prices of gas cylinders have increased, which directly affects the budget of common people. But now you can buy a gas cylinder for Rs 450! The Chopal, PM Ujjwala Yojana: The central and state governments are running many schemes to reduce inflation, including the provision of free ration through ration cards. The Rajasthan government has now made a new announcement to give more relief to the people. State ration card holders will get the facility to buy LPG cylinder for only Rs 450 after this announcement. 

Earlier this facility was available to Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme and BPL card holders, but now general ration card holders will also be able to avail this benefit. Know in the news below -

Gas cylinder for Rs 450

The Rajasthan government has started a new scheme to save the public from rising inflation. The ration card holders of the state will now get LPG cylinder for Rs 450. Application for this has started. Now even the common ration card holders will be able to get cheap cylinders under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Those who want to take advantage of this facility can apply from November 5 to November 30. During inflation, the aim of this scheme is to give some relief to the poor and middle class families from the rising cost of LPG.

 

What has changed in the rules?

Earlier, the Rajasthan government used to provide gas cylinders to beneficiaries for Rs 450 under the Ujjwala Yojana. But the state has now made some changes in the gas cylinder scheme for Rs 450. Ration card holders can also apply for it. Before that, ration card holders have to link their ration card with LPG ID. Only after this can you apply for gas.


Let us tell you that currently more than 1,07,35,000 families in Rajasthan are listed in the list of National Food Security Act. Out of which about 37 lakh families are being provided cheap gas cylinders under Ujjwala Yojana and BPL. This announcement has now been made available to the remaining 68 lakh families.

How to apply?

To avail the scheme, some necessary documents will be required, such as the beneficiary's Aadhar card, Jan Aadhar card, LPG ID and ration card. The government has started this seeding process from November 5 and will continue till November 30. The beneficiary will have to go to his nearest ration shop to do seeding (How to Apply for LPG Cylinder). Here the seeding process will be completed through POS machine. OTP can complete the process if the Aadhar card is linked to the mobile number. At the same time, fingerprint will be required if the mobile number is not linked.

How to get subsidy?

Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries get subsidy for gas cylinders. It provides twelve cylinders in the whole year. Which gives a subsidy of Rs 300. The subsidy is paid into the beneficiary's bank account. In most cases, the process is completed within two to three days.

You can get an update by calling the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas' DBTL helpline number 18002333555 if you have not received the subsidy. Apart from this, you can talk to the gas agency or bank (LPG cylinder subsidy scheme). You can also get the details of Aadhaar card and bank account from the LPG gas distributor.

When did the scheme start?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana on 1 May 2016. The scheme aims to provide clean cooking fuel to women from rural and economically weaker households, so that the negative impact of smoke can be reduced on their health. Under this scheme, eligible families will get a free LPG connection, which includes a 14.2 kg cylinder, first refill and a gas stove. Also, a subsidy of Rs 300 is also given on each cylinder.

The Union Cabinet has recently approved the Ration Card Ujjawala Yojana to provide 75 lakh LPG connections from 2023-24 to 2025-26. Now women can cook food safely, as the Ujjwala Yojana has increased the use of clean fuel in the rural areas of the country.
