The incident took place in Ghaziabad's Sanjay Colony. An attempt was first made to mislead the police when the son called the police control room dial 112 and claimed that his father had shot him. Muradnagar ACP Siddharth Gautam said that a youth named Shubham had complained that his father had shot him in his left hand. As soon as the police received this information, they immediately reached the spot and started an investigation.
During the investigation, the police found some shocking facts. From the conversation with the local people and the evidence found at the scene, it became clear that Shubham had been having a dispute with his father over property for a long time. He was living in his in-laws' house for a long time and due to this dispute, he took this step. The police found a towel at the scene, which Shubham had wrapped around his left hand, and shot himself.

After this, the police immediately admitted Shubham to the local CHC hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
