On X, CM Yogi posted, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the dear children and residents of the state on ‘Children’s Day’!”

“Children are the future of the nation and the foundation of a ‘developed and self-reliant’ India,” he said.

“Let’s provide a setting that is secure, encouraging, and supportive so that kids may advance and realize their aspirations. CM Yogi emphasized that this is a national and societal job as well.

In honor of Jawaharlal Nehru’s love of children, Children’s Day is observed annually on November 14, which coincides with the anniversary of his birth.

Pandit Nehru, affectionately known as “Chacha,” was born in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, on November 14, 1889. India is commemorating his 135th birthday on Thursday. He received his education at some of the most famous schools in the world, such as the University of Cambridge and London’s Harrow School.

“Chacha Nehru” had a strong commitment to children’s education and well-being.

In remembrance of his legacy, November 14 was designated as Children’s Day after his death in 1964. An annual tradition to support children’s rights and highlight their significance in constructing India’s future began with the first formal celebration in 1965.

The occasion is an important reminder of India’s dedication to its youth. Schools and other institutions all throughout the nation host cultural events, contests, and activities to commemorate the anniversary and raise awareness of children’s rights, welfare, and education.
