On Thursday, the Bihar government made the decision to provide landless people financial assistance in order to lessen the barriers to buying land for homes. The landless will now get Rs 1 lakh from the government, which they may use to buy three to five decimal plots. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presided over the state cabinet meeting when this idea was accepted. The Chief Minister Home Site Purchase Assistance Scheme 2024 has been authorized by the administration, which claims it would empower the state’s impoverished.

In the past, worthy households in rural regions would get three decimal acres of land from the Nitish government to build housing facilities. However, a study conducted by the government revealed that acquiring tenant land at MVR prices was very difficult, necessitating a change in policy. The administration also resolved to raise the dearness allowance for state government workers and pensioners from 50% to 53% during the state cabinet meeting. In response to requests from a number of state government employee organizations, the administration agreed to raise the DA by 3%.
