On Thursday, the Nifty ended flat and fell 26.35 points to close at 23,532.70. Meanwhile, the Sensex dropped 110.64 points to end the day at 77,580.31.Eicher Motors, Grasim, Kotak Bank, HDFC Life, and Hero MotoCorp were among the top gainers on the Nifty index. BPCL, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Consumer, and Nestle India were among the top losers.
Also, the shares of Jio Financial Services gained over 6 per cent and closed at Rs 319.60. Shares rallied following the National Stock Exchange's (NSE) announcement to introduce 45 additional stocks in its futures and options (F&O) segment. The update, effective from November 29, includes high-profile names such as Zomato, DMart, and Jio Financial.According to the exchange data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold equities amounting to Rs 2,502.58 crore and Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) purchased equities amounting to Rs 6,145.24 crore respectively on the previous trading day.
