Duchess Sophie wears £20k earrings in sweet tribute to Prince Edward

looked radiant after she paid a sweet tribute to her husband, the , Edward when she stepped out in a pair of striking earrings during a public engagement on behalf of the . On Wednesday (November 13) the 59-year-old visited the Castle Heritage Centre, also known as Castle Bude, in Cornwall.

She decided to wear the sentimental accessory to complete her elegant ensemble. Prince Edward gifted the sparklers to her on the day their engagement was announced over 25 years ago.

Back in January 1999, Duchess Sophie wore the diamond stud earrings she wore for the photocall. In an exclusive chat with jewellery expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone Jewellers shared their whopping value.

"The Duchess of Edinburgh has beautifully honoured her husband, Prince Edward, by wearing the very diamond stud earrings that she first wore when the royal couple's engagement was announced in 1999," he said.

These are perfectly complimented by her dazzling engagement ring, which if it hits the light may blind you after being a huge rock.

The Duchess wears the ring, which is reported to be worth an estimated £105,000, alongside her Welsh gold wedding band.

They currently reside in a 120 mega-mansion in the heart of Surrey, Bagshot Park, Castle alongside their daughter Lady Louise Windsor - who recently turned 21 years old, and son James, Earl of Wessex, 16.

Their stunning abode is just a stone's throw away from Windsor Castle and is close to Prince William and Princess Kate.

Back in 2023, it was announced that they would be moving from their 20-room apartment 1A, which was the former home of Princess Margaret.

The couple permanently lived there with their young children since 2014 but decided to . Adelaide Cottage is situated on the grounds of the castle.
