New Delhi: At the RM Paris collector car auction Bugatti has sold its final purely gas-powered car for a staggering $10.7 million(about Rs 88 crore) setting a new world auction record for a brand-new vehicle. The sale drew considerable attention from car enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
The Bugatti Chiron Profilée was initially created as a special development model never intended for sale. Its name Profilée is inspired by an elegant teardrop-shaped body design featured on some iconic Bugatti cars from the 1930s.

Although Bugatti has yet to officially deliver a vehicle to India Mayur Shree a U.S.-based entrepreneur of Indian descent is the sole known owner of a Bugatti Chiron from India. A successful real estate developer Shree has curated an impressive car collection which includes a 2021 Bugatti Chiron Sport valued at up to Rs 28 crore according to CarDekho.

With only about 100 Chirons in existence worldwide the car is incredibly exclusive. The Chiron owned by Mayur Shree is also the first unit of this model to ever be delivered in Texas.
