A Greater Noida Hospital came under scrutiny after allegations of performing surgery on a seven-year-old boy’s wrong eye and charging Rs 45,000 for the operational cost.

The parents of the boy, Yudhishthir, filed a complaint claiming that their son went for left eye surgery, but the doctor operated on the right instead. No FIR has been registered yet, reported TOI.
The incident allegedly took place at the Anand Spectrum Hospital in Sector Gamma 1 on November 12 when the minor was taken for treatment as his left eye was watering often.
The doctors reportedly diagnosed a foreign object in his eye and suggested surgery for treatment of the same. After his parents agreed, the doctors performed surgery on the same day.
However, after returning home, his parents realised that their son’s left eye, the affected part, was not treated. Immediately, they visited another eye hospital which confirmed that no surgery had been performed.

Levelling allegations of “fraud," the parents created a ruckus at the hospital where surgery was conducted and filed a complaint with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Gautam Buddha Nagar.
The boy’s father, in his complaint, demanded the cancellation of the doctor’s license and also urged the law enforcement authorities to seal the hospital.
