MPPSC SET 2024: Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the date of release of Madhya Pradesh State Eligibility Test (MPPSC SET) 2024 and admit card. In the notice issued by the commission, it has been said that the advertisement for the State Eligibility Test 2024 for the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh was released on 15 March 2024. This examination will be conducted on 15 December in offline mode (OMR-based).

A total of 20 subjects will be included in the Madhya Pradesh SET exam. The questions asked in the exam will be in Hindi and English. For this, the admit card will be released on the commission's website mppsc.mp.gov.in on 6 December.

What is the State Eligibility Test (SET)?

The State Eligibility Test (SET) is like the UGC-NET exam. After qualifying, one gets the eligibility to become an Assistant Professor in Government Universities and Colleges located in the respective state and to get a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

MPPSC SET 2024 Exam Pattern

The MP SET exam will consist of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper-II. There will be no break between Paper I and Paper II. Both papers will have objective-type, multiple-choice questions. Paper 1 will have 50 questions of 100 marks and it has to be completed in 1 hour. Whereas, Paper 2 will have 100 questions of 200 marks, for which 2 hours will be given.

The first paper of SET will be on general knowledge and the second on the relevant subject. The exam will be a of total 300 marks. In which 150 questions will be asked. Each question will be of two marks. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
