In the Jharkhand elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has made a strong front against the Hemant Soren government through love and land jihad. The BJP has also given the slogan of roti and beti for this. Big leaders are also keeping their speeches around this, but apart from all this, the real tension of Hemant's party is a silent strategy of the BJP.
It is being said that this time BJP has prepared a seat-wise strategy and for this big leaders have been fielded. Instead of going to the whole of Jharkhand, the big leaders of the party are focusing on only one or two seats so that they can easily touch the magic number.
BJP is so serious about this strategy that the party has even entrusted former chief ministers with the task of completing it. This is the reason why three former CMs of the BJP are working only towards saving their own seats.
JMM sources say that the strong fielding of big BJP leaders has increased the party's tension in those seats where there is anti-incumbency against its alliance candidate. JMM is more worried about the Congress and RJD candidates than its own.
Arjun Munda- Arjun Munda, who was the Chief Minister of Jharkhand thrice, was limited to only Potka seat. Munda's wife Meera Munda is contesting from here. Potka is a tribal dominated area and JMM won here in 2019.
Munda lost the election from Khunti in 2024. However, this time his front was limited to Potka only. Interestingly, Arjun Munda's name was also included in the list of star campaigners of BJP.
Babu Lal Marandi- Jharkhand BJP state president Babu Lal Marandi did not leave his constituency until the campaign ended there. This time BJP had put Marandi on duty in Raj Dhanwar. Marandi is contesting elections from this seat.
CPI(ML) and JMM have put a strong siege on Marandi here. It is being said that BJP did not want its biggest local leader to lose the entire election.
Champai Soren- When former CM Champai Soren was in Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, he was campaigning in different areas, but BJP had given him the main responsibility of only 2 seats. Champai was limited to Saraikela and Ghatshila till the first phase of voting.
Champai himself is contesting from Saraikela, while his son Babu Lal is in the fray from Ghatsila. BJP had lost both the seats last time.
Amar Kumar Bauri- Leader of Opposition Chandan Kumar Bauri is a star campaigner of BJP, but BJP has given him the responsibility of saving only its seat. Bauri is not coming out of his area Chandankiyari. This time Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fielded a strong candidate in Chandankiyari.
Bauri is preparing a campaign as well as a strategy to defeat the India alliance again in his area.
Sudarshan Bhagat- Former Union Minister Sudarshan Bhagat has been deployed by BJP only in Gumla this time. Bhagat is also the party's candidate from here. Currently, JMM's Bhushan Tirkey is the MLA from Gumla.
BJP's strategy is to win this seat again. BJP had won here in 2009 and 2014.
Nishikant Dubey is a Lok Sabha MP from Godda. The party has also included him in the list of star campaigners, but Nishikant is mainly focusing on Santhal Pargana. Nishikant is preparing the strategy for BJP in Sarath, Madhupur and Jamtara.
Similarly, central government minister Annapurna Devi was stationed in Koderma till the first phase of voting. Another central minister Sanjay Seth was leading the campaign in Ranchi.
Elections have been completed on 43 assembly seats of Jharkhand. Now voting is remaining on 38 seats. This time elections have been held in two phases on 81 seats of the state. 42 MLAs are needed to form a government in Jharkhand.
This time the main contest in the state is between the Hemant Soren alliance and the BJP alliance.
