Speaking at a rally in Jamui, the prime minister said, “I think it’s fortunate for the NDA and the BJP that we had the chance to elect Droupadi Murmu as president of the nation. She is the nation’s first tribal president. I recall that our Nitish Babu made a strong case to the whole nation that Droupadi Murmu should be elected president by a significant majority when the NDA chose to make him the president. President Droupadi Murmu is also credited for the PM Janman Yojana, which is the basis for the many projects that have begun today.

PM Modi emphasized that the PM Janman Yojana, which is worth Rs 24,000 crores, provided the majority of backward tribal families with development in their villages by providing them with “pakke-ghar,” water via the “Har Ghar Nal Yojana,” and ongoing infrastructure projects to link their villages to other important locations. She spoke a lot about the most backward tribal group while she was the governor of Jharkhand and then as president. These very primitive tribal tribes were ignored by the past administrations.

To lessen the challenges in their life, the PM Janman Yojana, which has a budget of Rs 24,000 crore, was initiated. This plan ensures the development of these communities. This plan is celebrating its one-year anniversary today. For thousands of the most impoverished tribal households, we have provided ‘pakke-ghar’ over this one-year period. In order to link their settlements with other important regions in the district, infrastructure is now being built. The ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ provides water to every household in their communities. “I worship them,” he stated, adding that none of the countries had requested for it.

The Prime Minister said that the BJP-led NDA federal government has taken a variety of actions to safeguard tribal history, citing the several museums and tribal research centers that were established under his administration.

“To protect tribal history, our government has also taken a number of actions. The Padma Awards have been given to several individuals who are committed to tribal art and culture. In Ranchi, we built a sizable museum dedicated to Lord Birsa Munda.Additionally, two tribal research centers in Sikkim and Srinagar were opened today.

The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research in Arunachal Pradesh has been updated, while the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Leh has been founded by the NDA administration. In India, the WHO is also constructing its Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. Additionally, this will assist the Indian tribal traditional medical system spread across the nation and the globe.

As part of the ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ festivities, Prime Minister Modi traveled to Jamui, Bihar, to pay his respects to tribal chieftain ‘Bhagwan Birsa Munda’, who was celebrating his 150th birthday.

In order to promote the overall development of tribal communities, he presented development initiatives that demonstrated the government’s dedication to tribal welfare. These projects included plans to upgrade infrastructure, provide training, and give youngsters with work prospects.

As the commemoration of Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s 150th birthday got underway, the prime minister presented development projects totaling Rs 6,640 crore.

At the ceremony, he also unveiled a commemorative coin and postal stamp.

The Chotanagpur region’s tribal group was greatly influenced by Birsa Munda, the Indian tribal freedom movement’s hero, to fight for their independence. He was the leader of the armed uprising against British authority known as “Ulgulan” (the insurrection).
