Rajasthan Kali Bai Scooty Scheme

The Rajasthan government has taken a great step to empower and make women self-reliant. The name of this scheme is Rajasthan Kalibai Scooty Scheme 2024. Its main objective is to encourage girls from rural areas to pursue higher education. Under this scheme, eligible girl students are given free scooties so that they can progress in the field of education and do not face any problem in commuting. The application process for this scheme has started and the government has issued a notification for it.

Kalibai Bhil was an inspirational woman leader and social reformer, and this is why this scheme is named after her. The Rajasthan government has launched the Rajasthan Kali Bai Scooty Yojana to encourage meritorious girl students of the state in the field of education . Under this scheme, meritorious girl students who pass class 12 with good marks are given scooties. Its goal is to motivate the girl students to get education and make them self-reliant. This scheme will make it easier for the girl students to go to far-flung colleges and they can continue their studies without any hindrance.

Some eligibility criteria have been fixed to avail the benefits of this scheme, which are as follows:

• It is mandatory for the applicant to be a native of Rajasthan state.
• Educational qualification:
  • Minimum 65% marks in 12th from Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.
  • Minimum 75% marks in 12th from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
• The annual income of the student's family should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.

If a girl student is selected for this scheme, she will get the following facilities:

• One scooter will be given for free.
• The government will even bear the cost of delivery of the scooter.
• 1 year general insurance and 5 years third party insurance will be provided for the scooter.
• You will get 2 litres of petrol at the time of receipt of the scooter.
• A helmet will also be provided by the government.

Note: After receiving the scooty, the student will not be able to sell it for 5 years.

• Aadhar card
• Jan Aadhar Card
• Caste Certificate
• Income Certificate (not older than 6 months)
• 12th class mark sheet
• Certificate of Regular Study
• Passport size photo
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• BPL certificate (if applicable)
• Bank passbook
• SSO ID

Application for this scheme will be done online. To apply, the student will have to use the SSO (Single Sign On) portal. If there is no SSO ID, then it will have to be made first. The complete process of applying is as follows:

• After login, click on “Scholarship” app.
• Read all instructions related to Kalibai Scooty Yojana and click on “Continue” .
• Fill the application form correctly and then click on “Submit” button.

• Last date for online application: 20 October 2024
