The National Hurricane Center (NHC) on Thursday issued an advisory regarding the depression gaining strength in the Caribbean. In an update, the agency said that the depression has now strengthened into a tropical storm, and it has been named Sara - the 18th named storm in the current Atlantic hurricane season.As of now, the NHC estimates that tropical storm Sara is 205 miles east-southeast of Isla Guanaja, in Honduras. It is moving west, toward the United States at a speed of 12 miles per hour.
When Will It Make Landfall? As the storm moves west, it will pass through parts of Honduras and Nicaragua. Warnings have been issued for the Bay Islands of Honduras and the coast of Honduras. An alert has also been issued from the northeast coast of Nicaragua, from Puerto Cabezas to the Honduras border.
