This year’s Children’s Day marked the beginning of the Reliance Foundation‘s Kahani Kala Khushi initiative, which will use storytelling and other activities to motivate kids in schools and Anganwadi centers across India over the coming weeks.

Children from underprivileged backgrounds will be engaged as part of this program by employee volunteers from Reliance firms, representatives of organizations collaborating with the Reliance Foundation, and communities. Approximately 22,000 youngsters will be reached by the project throughout the week.

In celebration of Children’s Day on Thursday, the project started in a Mumbai government school where more than 400 Reliance staff members volunteered to engage 3,800 kids in storytelling, art, and both indoor and outdoor sports. Hundreds of these volunteers will interact with youngsters nationwide over the course of the next several days.

The program, which started Thursday in 63 preschool-aged Anganwadis in Maharashtra and Telangana, is expected to reach 18,000 children in over 1,100 Anganwadis between November 14 and 16. Driven by the Reliance Foundation’s commitment to children and youth as a core area of our work, the Kahani Kala Khushi initiative aims to develop children’s cognitive functioning, communication skills, and confidence. The ultimate goal is to develop young people’s aspirations to shape a strong and prosperous nation.

The Reliance Foundation claims that for more than ten years, it has been dedicated to bringing happiness to kids from underprivileged neighborhoods around this time of year. The charity claims that this year’s Kahani Kala Khushi program is a concerted attempt to inspire youngsters by combining art and narrative. Over 17,000 youngsters were reached by the campaign last year, which took place in 25 locations.

Through creative and long-lasting solutions, the Reliance Foundation, the charitable division of Reliance Industries Limited, seeks to catalyze the resolution of India’s development issues. With a focus on rural transformation, education, health, sports for development, disaster management, women’s empowerment, urban renewal, and arts, culture, and heritage, the Reliance Foundation, led by its founder and chairperson Nita M. Ambani, aims to improve everyone’s general well-being and quality of life.
