For obvious reasons it came as a shock to the audience when he was missing from The Kapil Sharma Show as the judge and Archana Puran Singh sat on his seat in 2019. However Navjot Singh Sidhu is returning to the show - but this time as a guest rather than a judge.

After Navjot Singh Sidhu left The Kapil Sharma Show unexpectedly in 2019 the reasons behind his departure remained undisclosed — until now.
In the upcoming episode of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show Navjot Singh Sidhu will be coming as a guest and addressed his exit. During the conversation he cited political reasons for his exit though he chose not to elaborate further.
He also talked about his long association with Kapil Sharma recalling how he had been part of the show since the comedian first gained fame on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He described the journey as a bouquet created by God.
The reason behind Navjot Singh Sidhu leaving the show in 2019
When directly asked about his exit from the show Navjot Singh Sidhu mentioned the factors that played a significant role. He stated “There were political reasons which I do not want to talk about and other reasons too… and the bouquet fell apart. I hope it comes back together as it was. I’d be the first to help. Kapil’s show is still thriving and he is a genius.”
Navjot Singh Sidhus controversial remarks that led to his exit from the show
For the unversed Navjot Singh Sidhus exit followed his controversial remarks regarding the Pulwama Terror Attack which sparked a public backlash and ultimately led to his replacement by Archana Puran Singh on the show.
He stated Nations cannot be held responsible for the cowardly acts of terrorists. Terrorists have no deen and mazhab. There are good bad and ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished but individuals cannot be blamed for this cowardly act.
The episode will air on Saturday November 16 on Netflix.
