They are slightly flat in shape unlike gulab jamun, hence they are called peda. They are prepared using flour, khoya, curd, ghee, baking soda and are loaded with lots of dry fruits. 1 cup flour
3/4 cup khoya
1 cup refined oil
1 teaspoon chopped pistachios
2 cups sugar
2 tbsp curd
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp chopped almonds
2 tbsp water
1 tsp chopped cashews
Step 1
To prepare the delicious dessert, mix together baking soda, khoya and water in a large bowl. Then, add ghee and curd and mix together until a creamy texture is formed.

Then, add flour and water as required to knead a loose dough. Cover it and keep it aside for a few minutes.

Now, prepare the sugar syrup. Add sugar and water in a pan and boil them.

After this, take a small amount of dough and make small balls of it.

Now, use your fingers to take out a small portion of the dough from the center. Fill it with chopped dry fruits.

Then, heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Deep fry the prepared balls until they turn dark golden brown. Remove excess oil using a clean paper towel.

Remove them from the pan and put them in sugar syrup. Let them soak in the syrup for 15-20 minutes. Then, remove and serve.
