Former industrialist Ratan Tata ensured that those close to him would not face any difficulties after his demise naming them in his ₹10000 crore will with special provisions. Among those named were Tata’s butler Subbiah who served him for over 30 years Shantanu Naidu a close associate and his beloved German Shepherd Tito.
Ratan Tata’s butler Subbiah served him for over 30 years and was treated like a family member. Tata often travelled abroad and would bring back designer clothes for Subbiah. He recognized him as a close friend appreciating his unwavering support and loyalty.
Shantanu Naidu a close confidant and associate of Ratan Tata is also a beneficiary of his will. Tata made provisions to cover Naidus study abroad expenses. Additionally Ratan Tata had supported Naidu in establishing Goodfellows a startup aimed at providing companionship to elderly people.
Ratan Tata made provisions in his will for his German Shepherd Tito ensuring unlimited care for his dog. This reflects Ratan Tata’s deep love for animals. It is also reportedly said that he had instructed the security personnel at Taj hotels in Mumbai not to harm or chase away the stray dogs.
Ratan Tata died on October 9 at Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai.
