Two army personnel were caught having sex in an Apache helicopter after the shocked ground crew spotted the multi-million-pound gunship swaying up and down. According to the Mirror, the two soldiers believed to be intoxicated, were discovered half-naked having sex inside the cockpit of the helicopter during a routine maintenance activity. The incident caught the attention of the ground crew, who had finished a night-time servicing of the £8.5 million (around 90 crores) AH-64 gunship when they heard unusual sounds and saw the rotors swaying up and down. An air safety report revealed: “It became apparent that the rear cockpit was occupied by two people engaged in sexual intercourse. They were ordered to exit the cockpit and get dressed," The Sun reported. The outlet reported that the pair were squeezed into the rear of a two-seater gunship, which was armed with a devastating 30mm cannon and pods for Hellfire missiles. “They were detained until the chain of command of 653 Squadron and their parent unit arrived,” read the Military Aviation Authority report. The incident took place at the Otterburn range in Northumberland in 2016. However, it was made public only recently, thanks to a computer glitch.
