The world famous Islamic educational institution Darul Uloom in Deoband, Saharanpur district of UP is constantly in the news for its fatwas. One of its fatwas is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It says that if Muslim men and women are bank employees, then no Muslim should marry their children. Regarding this, Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora says that this fatwa is 8 years old and is correct.
Islamic educational institution Darul Uloom has said that whether the children are bank employees or their children, the salary that Muslim employees receive from the bank is based on interest. When TV9 Bharatvarsh talked to Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora (Deobandi scholar and patron of Jamiat Dawatul Muslimeen) about the fatwa on this.
Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora says that the fatwa which is going viral on social media is eight years old and is correct. According to Shariat, whether the Muslim men or women working in the bank, the salary they receive in the bank is usury. According to Shariat, taking interest money is Haraam. Therefore, Muslims should not marry their children to these bank employees. Apart from bank employees, people who are doing the work of interest or usury is Haraam.
Even before the Lok Sabha elections-2024, Deoband had made a big announcement. Darul Uloom had said that the leaders of the country should not be welcomed. Also, no responsible person of Darul Uloom will meet or get photographed with any leader inside Darul Uloom. Darul Uloom had also issued a fatwa in July.
In this fatwa, students studying in Mandarul Uloom were told that they are not allowed to study English or any other subject while staying here. If found so then the guilty students will be expelled from Darul Uloom.
