America’s newly-elected President Trump appointed Karoline Leavitt as White House Press Secretary in the Cabinet

Washington: US president-elect”>On Friday, US President-elect Donald Trump named Karoline Leavitt as the newest member of his cabinet to take on the role of White House Press Secretary.

During his first term in the Trump administration, Leavitt served as the White House‘s Assistant Press Secretary. He also served as the National Press Secretary for Trump’s 2024 US presidential campaign.

Trump said in a statement that he was happy to select Leavitt as the White House Press Secretary and commended her for her efforts on my campaign.

Leavitt, he said, was “smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator” and he had complete faith in her to succeed in the role.

“I am happy to announce that Karoline Leavitt will be the White House Press Secretary. She performed an outstanding job as the National Press Secretary throughout my Historic Campaign. In addition to being intelligent and resilient, Karoline has shown exceptional communication skills. “As we work to “Make America Great Again,” I am absolutely certain she will be a great speaker and help convey our message to the American people,” the statement said.

Previously, US President-elect Trump appointed Sergio Gor to head the Presidential Personnel Office and appointed Steven Cheung, his campaign spokesman, as White House communications director.

Doug Collins, a former congressman from Georgia, was Trump’s nominee on Thursday to be the next Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was named by Trump as the next US Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Trump named former Congresswoman Lieutenant Colonel Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Florida Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, and Congressman Matt Gaetz as the US Attorney General on Wednesday.

He also announced last week that Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian entrepreneur, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk would head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).Furthermore, Trump appointed former New York Congressman Lee Zeldin as the Administrator of the US Environmental Protective Agency (EPA), Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, William Joseph McGinley as White House Counsel, and former National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

In the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump defeated Democratic opponent Kamala Harris with 295 electoral votes, earning him a second term as president of the United States. President-elect Donald Trump has acted quickly after winning to assemble his national security and foreign policy staff in preparation for his official inauguration in January 2025.
