Nov. 16, St. John’s (Antigua) The West Indies Test team has welcomed back spinner Kevin Sinclair and in-form hitter Justin Greaves for the next two-match series against Bangladesh, which begins in North Sound on November 22.

The team, which is captained by Kraigg Brathwaite, is an intriguing blend of young potential and seasoned, successful players. Following his incredible run of smashing three hundreds in the domestic white-ball tournament, Greaves made a comeback to the mix. Jason Holder will miss the series as he recovers from a shoulder injury, while Sinclair also made a comeback to the team as a useful spin bowling option.

Test captain Kraigg Brathwaite will command a 13-man CWI Select XI for the two-day warm-up match against Bangladesh on November 17 and 18 at Antigua’s Coolidge Cricket Ground in advance of the Test series.

“We anticipate that the two up-and-coming teams will compete in the series against Bangladesh. The two-day warm-up game and training camp in the lead-up to the series will provide us the finest preparation possible since they will give both seasoned and up-and-coming players the chance to hone their talents before the Test series,” head coach Andre Coley said.

Following the end of the second Test in Kingston on December 4, Bangladesh will embark on an all-format series visit to the West Indies, which will include three ODIs and as many T20Is.

Bangladesh and the West Indies are now at the bottom of the World Test Championship standings, and the series will not affect who advances to the Lord’s for the top match the following year.

Joshua Da Silva (vc), Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair, Jomel Warrican, and Kraigg Brathwaite (c) make up the West Indies Test team.
