A strange story of a young man's love for a chicken has come to light in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. The young man loved the chicken so much that he went to the police station to get its murderer punished and was adamant on filing a complaint and registering a case of murder. After receiving the complaint, the police has started investigation.
Shivram son Bhaiyalal, resident of Jawai village of Pipri police station area, is a labourer. It is alleged that the neighbor killed the rooster with a brick. Due to this the chicken died. After the information, Shivram reached the spot. When he reached his neighbor's house to complain about it, the accused abused him and beat him up. People intervened and pacified the matter. The youth was demanding a murder case to be registered against the accused. Outpost in-charge Atul Ranjan Tiwari said that a complaint has been received.
According to the information, under Section 429, killing a pet whose value is more than Rs 50 and tampering with it in any way is a legal offence. Under this, there is a provision for imprisonment of up to five years for the accused.
Shivram used to take care of the chicken himself, making every arrangement for the chicken from food to water. In such a situation, when a chicken was killed by a neighbor, Shivram was shocked and wanted to punish the neighbor who killed the chicken.
Shivram says that he was taking care of the chicken for many months and used to feed it with great love. The cock knew Shivram and also lived with him. Shivram is very sad after the death of the chicken, after which he went to the police and complained to the police.
In this case, Pipri police station incharge Balram Singh said that a case of cock killing has come up. A complaint has been received in this matter, investigation is being done on the basis of the complaint and action will be taken in this matter.
