Election campaign is in full swing in Maharashtra. From big to small leaders, they are doing new experiments to woo the public. One such political experiment is taking place in Nagpur Central. The election campaign being held in Nagpur Central Assembly seat, which is in the news regarding the RSS headquarters, is in the news due to Congress candidate Bunty Shelke.

Bunty, who is contesting on the paw symbol, is continuously taking blessings from Sangh and BJP leaders for victory. Its video is becoming very viral on social media. It is being said that with the blessings of Bunty Sangh, he is trying to make Congress win this seat in Nagpur.

Who is Congress candidate Bunty Shelke?

Rushikesh alias Bunty Shelke, a local resident of Nagpur Central, entered politics through student politics. He has held many important positions in the youth and student wing of Congress in Nagpur. In 2019, Congress made him its candidate from Nagpur Central.

According to the election affidavit, Bunty has studied polytechnic. He has total assets worth Rs 4 lakh. A total of 36 cases are registered against Bunty. Bunty also came into limelight for delivering oxygen cylinders during Corona.

Congress has again fielded Bunty. The seat is of Nagpur Central.

Why is Nagpur Central seat special?

The headquarters of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the mother organization of Bharatiya Janata Party, is in Nagpur Central. Meaning all the big stalwarts of the Sangh sit here. The vote of the Sangh chief is also in this assembly.

Apart from this, the fort of Raja Bhosale of Nagpur is also in this area. Nagpur is also known because of business in the central seat. Most of the big markets of the city are under this area.

BJP has been winning here continuously since 2009. Despite being Muslim majority, Congress is lagging here for three consecutive elections. The party hopes to play the game from here this time.

Caste equation of Nagpur Central seat

There are total 314695 voters in Nagpur Central seat. Talking on the basis of caste, the population of Muslims in Nagpur Central is around 22 percent. Here Dalits are 9 percent and tribals are around 20 percent.

Apart from this, the population of Jain community in the seat is one percent. Generally, voting on this seat is between 50 to 55 percent.

BJP changed candidates this time

Vikas Kumbhare had defeated Ramchandra of Congress in 2009. After this, Kumbhare continuously reached the assembly by winning this seat. This time BJP has changed the candidates from here. The party has fielded Praveen Datke.

Apart from Praveen Datke, Ramesh Punekar, who belongs to Halba community, is in the fray. Bunty Shelke is beating the pace of Congress. Halba community plays the role of kingmaker in Nagpur Central. Presently the people of the community are protesting regarding reservation.

Divided in the hope of victory due to blessings

There is hope of victory due to the blessings of Bunty Shelke Sangh and BJP leaders. In the 2019 elections, Bunty got 71 thousand 684 votes. Bunty lost the election by only 4 thousand votes. After this he remained continuously active in the field.

Recently, when Bunty got the ticket, he gave his all through campaigning. Two days ago, BJP candidate Praveen Datke reached the main election office in Nagpur Central and started taking blessings from the leaders present there. Usually this happens.

On Friday, another video of Bunty went viral, in which he was seen taking blessings from former BJP MLA Vikas Kumbhare. Kumbhare is considered a strong leader of the Sangh.

It is being said that if Bunty gets the blessings of Kumbhare, then his path may become easier in this political riot of Nagpur.
