Addressing an election rally in Sangli district of Maharashtra, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said, to overcome the shortage of petrol, Indian Oil Company is now going to start 400 ethanol pumps in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Along with this, 5 companies are going to bring cars running on ethanol. The Transport Minister said that the alternative to petrol will be ethanol. If farmers' children use cars running on ethanol, its consumption will increase. He said that farmers have sugarcane and maize crops for ethanol. With its use, farmers will benefit by driving cars.
Nitin Gadkari said, how will the welfare of farmers be achieved? How will the youth get employment? How will smart villages be built with smart cities? How will our agriculture and industry progress? The government is continuously working for this. It has been 75 years since the country got independence. Out of this, Congress got a chance to rule for 60 years. Congress was in power in all gram panchayats, municipalities, assembly, district councils and municipal corporations. Congress gave the slogan of eradicating poverty, but the poverty of Dalits, tribals, farmers and agricultural laborers was not eradicated.
Nitin Gadkari said, I do not want to criticize Pandit Nehru, but the economic policy of Congress was wrong. He said, Congress had accepted Russia's economic model. This had an impact on the country. The country has suffered huge economic losses due to wrong economic policies. The situation of the country can change only with the right leadership and the right party.
Nitin Gadkari said, instead of changing the policy, Congress has mixed the poison of casteism and communalism. In the last elections it was campaigned that the Constitution was going to be changed, but no one can change the Constitution. No matter what anyone does, it cannot be changed. Gadkari said, we will not let it change, I have done work worth Rs 50 lakh crore, but no contractor needed to come to my house.
Today the situation is such that even if the work is not done, it will be fine, but do not do it without asking me. Today we need a party with proper policy and leadership to truly develop our country. All these situations can change. It is in your hands to change all this.
