4 tbsp coconut

5 tbsp ghee

1 bunch curry leaves

1 tbsp cumin

rock salt as required

2 medium sized potatoes

4 green chillies

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup roasted peanuts

1 bunch coriander leaves

2 cups water

Step 1 Soak sago for 4-5 hours and chop vegetables

Wash sago in running water and soak in 2 cups of water for 4 hours. Make sure that the soaked sago becomes moist and soft. If not, soak it for another two hours, otherwise the sago will remain raw in the khichdi. After this, wash green chillies and coriander leaves in running water and chop them finely. Now peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes in another bowl. Then grind the peanuts in a grinder and keep all these things aside until needed.

Step 2 Fry well and mix well so that it tastes good

Place a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and heat ghee. When ghee melts, add curry leaves, cumin seeds and chopped green chillies. Fry for a few seconds and add the potato pieces to the pan. Stir to combine with the spices and then cook on medium to low heat until the potatoes are soft. When the potatoes become soft enough, add soaked sago or sago, grated coconut and ground peanuts. Mix all the ingredients well and fry for 4-5 minutes.

Step 3 Garnish with lemon juice and coriander leaves
